Wow, Tim, it's amazing how the Lord can use something so very mundane as my taking a tumble off the patio! How encouraging. Yes indeed - the Lord is the Great Redeemer. He remembers "we are but dust"!

Elinor, God's timing and orchestration of your events to impact my life is wonderful. My character "took a tumble" yesterday when I had an outpouring of anger with a fellow Christian. I landed on my face! The damage was relational and in time I believe God will redeem my offense as I humble myself to Him. Thanks for the reminder of how God works.

No, I don't know how they are doing. I should ask Rosa next time she/they go to Papua. Rosa was there earlier this year. Maybe I'll give her a call!

Sorry about the tumble, but I loved your application. You are such an example to me in the way you trust in the Lord in the midst of life's many challenging circumstances. The "Bruised Reeds" story touched my heart, too. I don't remember hearing about the young woman and her baby before. Do you know how she and her husband are doing now?

I enjoyed reading your Easter blog. That picture of the little airstrip is amazing! Thank you for sharing about the bond you shared with those pilots. It reminds me a lot of Paul's dangerous journeys. Say 'hi' to Gulliver for me.

Hi Elinor,

Always an encouragement, you are. I enjoyed reading your blog. I hope to continue to visit periodically. God bless you always. If we don't get to spend a lot of time together talking on earth in the near future at least we will have all of eternity to catch up. By the way... did you run across the Managalassie (spelling?) people in Papua? Just curious; we met a great couple, the Parliar's and they spent a long time over there and actually translated the Bible into their language after they created a written language for them.... wow is what I said. Love ya!

Thanks for writing that. Ever since the day I met you, you have challenged me in so many ways! This article reminds me to thank God in every circumstance. I tend to complain and grumble when things go wrong...like when my car got stuck SEVERAL times this winter in our LONG driveway, and a couple times we've had to pull all our groceries on a sled from our mailbox to the house...you'd think that being an MK from a third world country I would be grateful and not complain about such petty things (maybe I've become spoiled here in the US and now take things for granted). Anyway, I did finally plop myself in the snow after going after the 2nd load of groceries and look up at the sky in tears and thank God for the snow and the beautiful place He's given to us. The Bible reminds me "In EVERYTHING give thanks!"

I love what you shared! Animals have been little gifts from God to keep me company when I'm housebound so much. They are little reminders of how much God loves me and He cares about my every day things--the need of compaionship, joy and livilness--comfort when they cruel up next to you especially when you don't feel so good! :)
You are in my prayers! Have a blessed day in the Lord!
Love Debbie
